Sophos - Free Antivirus for Mac OS X

Sophos has announced a free antivirus solution Sophos Anti-Virus Home Edition for Mac, designed to detect and block malicious software on computers running the Mac OS. The proposed product is a version of Sophos Anti-Virus 7. 2 for Mac with a slightly stripped-down functionality, designed to protect home computers.


Sophos Anti-Virus Home Edition for Mac - is a complete anti-virus, capable of detecting thousands of known threats, including Trojans and rootkits, without assuming restrictions on the use of time and does not require registration.






According to the manufacturer, the application will also provide reliable protection against viruses for Windows, which can be distributed to the users of Mac- portable USB-drives, or by e-mail. The product interface was slightly modified by taking into account the specific needs of casual users, in particular, free anti-virus is different from the commercial version of the enhanced ease of installation and operation.
